As for the remarks from the Chairperson of the PMB Committee for the 2021/2022 academic year, Abdul Karim S.Si, M.Si, he said that the University of Medan Area currently has a new student registration application system that is very efficient and very easy for prospective students to register, as for the procedures for registering new students, namely with full online registration and can come to campus for validation and then see the Medan Area University campus, prospective new students will be given academic guidelines when they register to be more familiar with the Medan Area University campus academics.
UMA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan M.Eng M.Sc accompanied by the Vice Chancellors, Chair of the 2021 PMB Committee Abdul Karim S.Si, M.Si, the Deans and Deputy Deans and the 2021 PMB committee team, Wednesday (5/5) said the opening of the PMB began May 5 will accommodate prospective new students in two locations, namely Campus I, Jalan Pool Medan Estate and Campus 2, Jalan Sei Serayu, Medan.
The UMA Chancellor also hopes that the frontdesk will also provide information related to Merdeka Learning – Merdeka Campus, both internship/work practice programs, student exchanges, teaching campuses, etc.
The two forms of the PMB design system that were launched are a fully online system and can come to campus which will take effect in 2021 which was designed by the UMA Information and Application Data Center (PDAI) and can be used by prospective new students to register by filling out a form. registrant data.
This makes it easier for prospective students to know the study program they are interested in and directly access it without having to come to the UMA campus. In addition, there is an offline system with a frontdesk, where prospective new student registrants come directly to the UMA campus and prospective registrants have to queue.
“We have provided friendly, polite and patient officers to serve questions from prospective students as well as provide direction and guidance regarding the academic process and lectures,” he said.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of UMA said that the target for prospective new students is believed to be realized, because UMA is now a conducive campus for studying, has a GreenMatric certificate from UI and various other rankings, a campus free of air, water and noise pollution. In addition, the campus saves electricity and is environmentally friendly, supported by large parking facilities and guaranteed security.
Moreover, UMA currently has 5 A-accredited study programs, namely, management, agribusiness, public administration, communication science and masters in agribusiness and one of the private universities in North Sumatra which has a Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science. Therefore, in the future, students are expected to finish and graduate from college on time.
